FASHION FRIDAY,CRENSHAW STYLE
Thank God is Friday!
This past week we lost a real one in Ermias Joseph Asghedom better known as “Nipsey Hussle” no let me repeat that, we lost a “REAL” one. Nipsey came out from the tough streets of LA where we all know in the hood like any other hoods is gangs affiliated. Nipsey wasn’t your typical rapper. In the mid-2000s, when he first came on the scene it was always about empowering his people’s. Most rapper’s when they get on, first thing they do is buy big chains and cars. Nipsey was in another state of mind. Instead of buying jewelry and cars he invested his money in real estate . How dope was that? He bought the building him and his friends use to hang out as young kids, where the store owners use to always tell them get away from in front of the store. He came back and bought that bitch and now the same store owners that use to kick him out is paying him rent! That’s some Gangster shit right there! Check out his first interview
This interview took place back in 06’ at the Russell Simmon’s “Get Your Money Summit”. Nipsey was from a different breed although he was a rapper his goal in life was always to empower his people’s. Teaching them that whatever you put your mind to you can do. Nipsey is living proof that you can make it from the bottom to the top. On June 17, 2017, Nipsey inaugurated the "Marathon Clothing" store which he founded along with partners Steve Carless, Civil, and his brother Samiel Asghedom. It seems like every-time one of us make it out the “Hood” and try to help and give back, things like this happen. We need more love and less hate!!
A father/mother lost a son, A wife lost a husband, A brother lost a brother and a Son/Daughter lost a Dad. We here at SD would like to send our dearest condolences to the whole Nipsey Family.
This week’s “Fashion Friday” we would like to dedicated the look to Nipsey Hussle and the whole Crenshaw Family. May you Rest In Peace OG!
